CCA of the Year
The Certified Crop Adviser of the Year Award recognizes a WRCCA who has shown dedicated and exceptional performance as an agronomist and leads others to promote agricultural practices that benefit the farmers and environment in the Western Region.
Applications for the 2024 CCA of the Year are now CLOSED. The CCA of the Year award will be formally announced at the Crop Consultant Conference, in September 2024.
The following must be met for eligibility for this award.
Nominator
Nominations for the WRCCA of the Year Award should be made by local WRCCA’s.
Nominee
Former recipients of the WRCCA of the Year Award are not eligible.
Current WRCCA Board Members are not eligible for the award.
A candidate for the WRCCA of the Year Award must hold a current CCA or CPAg certification.
Nominees will be evaluated solely on the basis of the information provided in the nomination.
Reference
References should be made by individuals who can speak to the nominees skills, involvement or volunteer service.

Nominations are CLOSED!
In September, the winner will be presented at the Crop Consultant Conference luncheon in Visalia with a $1,000 award. The cost to attend this conference will be covered by the WRCCA program for the award winner.
The Western Region CCA program is committed to refining knowledge and skill of those making important decisions in the field. CCA’s work with producers to help make economically and environmentally sound decisions. This counsel is the result of the hours spent gaining knowledge and perspective through requirements to become a certified crop adviser. CCA’s play a vital role working with producers to ensure sustainability and long term success for agriculturalists. The board hopes to honor a certified crop adviser who goes above and beyond to accomplish this mission.
