2021 WRCCA Allan Romander Student Scholarship Award Winners

The results are in! We have our 2021 WRCCA Allan Romander Student Scholarship Award winners!

Four winners were chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship, one winner for each section within the western region.

North Valley

The North Valley scholarship award winner is Caleb Van Vliet! Caleb is majoring in Agricultural and Environmental Plant Sciences with a concentration in Fruit and Crop Science at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. After undergrad, he plans to either continue his education or go into farm management. Congrats Caleb!

The South Valley scholarship award winner is Erick Cervantes! Erick is currently attending Fresno State University to obtain a B.S. in plant science. He plans to obtain his CCA license to focus on helping farmers feed the world more sustainably. Congrats Erick!

The Desert scholarship award winner is Hannah Hasty! Hannah is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Plant Systems at University of Arizona and hopes to become both a PCA and CCA. Congrats Hannah!

The Coast region scholarship award winner is Evan Tamayo! Evan is studying Agricultural and Environmental Plant Sciences with a concentration in Plant Protection Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After graduation he plans to get both his PCA and CCA licenses then do service in international agricultural development through an organization such as the Peace Corps. Congrats Evan!
